Sore Loser? Meadowlands Bettor Files One-Of-a-kind Lawsuit

A horse trainer previously disciplined for horse doping is being accused of doing it again in a lawsuit by a bettor who lost $32,000 at the Meadowlands Racetrack, NJ.com reports.

Jefferey Tretter of Illinois is suing trainer Robert Bresnahan, Jr. and owner J.L. Sadowsky LLC for doping, racketeering and fraud after blood samples from the winning horse came back positive for a banned blood-builder, the article says.

In 2012, the U.S. Trotting Association disciplined Bresnahan for doping a different horse with Oxymorphone, the article says.

Then, in 2016, a blood sample from 2015 taken from  winning horse Tag Up and Go came back positive for blood-builder EPO, according to the story.

Tretter says in the lawsuit that if Tag Up and Go "was properly kept from competing because of being doped," he would have won $31,835.50 on eight different bets he placed for the race, NJ.com reports.
